QA Lead

Looking for a QA Lead who will work with our project teams in the Greater Toronto Area for successful quality delivery of Application Development and System Integration projects. The incumbent will collaborate with our Near-shore QA Team in Halifax to assist with continuous improvement of the testing processes and frameworks.
Responsibilities
● Develop, document, and maintain test deliverables including test strategies, test plans, test cases, defect logs, status reports and test metrics, and test result summaries.
● Ensure complete test coverage for the assigned project.
● Analyze application requirements, functional and/or technical specifications.
● Execute test cases, track defects and resolutions and report status.
● Ensure complete test coverage for the assigned project.
● Ensure day-to-day support to the project, and support teams for successful overall delivery.
● Act as a positive role model, mentoring employees to promote a high performance technical and business focused team.
Requirements
● Minimum 7 years experience in Information Technology with a minimum of 4 years QA leadership experience.
● Minimum Bachelor’s degree complemented with Software Testing certification (eg. ISTQB).
● Proven track record of successful quality assurance of medium to large projects in the Financial Services industry, preferably in retail banking and wealth management.
● Hands-on experience of delivering Test Strategies, Effort Estimates and Test Plans for large initiatives.
● Strong knowledge of automated testing tools.
● Experience with QTP and Quality Center Suite of Tools.
● Excellent leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.
