Technical Support Representative.

We currently have a need for a Technical Support Representative.

 Location just north of GTA 400 / Hwy #7. 45K + –

* Primary Responsibilities include:

Manage customer and partner technical support inquiries via email, phone and forums

Troubleshoot software and underlying hardware, software and networking

Escalate highly complex problems

Log call activity

Duplicate technical support issues in the lab

Participate in emergency after hours on-call rotation

Contribute to the support knowledge base (KB)

Provide feedback on prioritizing software fixes

Support internal IT infrastructure

*Secondary Responsibilities:

Hardware testing

Tradeshow setup

Product demonstrations

Client training

Digital signage content development

 

* Competencies/Skills:

Excellent English written and oral communication skills are a must

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must

1 to 2 years of technical support experience

Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment would be an asset

Experience troubleshooting  in a Microsoft environment is required – including:

Windows, Windows Server

Server, desktop and graphics hardware

Networking

Experience using web meeting and remote desktop troubleshooting software

Familiarity with some of the following would be preferred:

.NET

Virtualization

Small form factor PCs

SQL Server

 

* Interest or experience with the following would be an asset:

Creative design – image and/or video editing, print/poster creative, streaming, etc.

Audio/visual equipment

Software development
