Our Customer is a leading global insurance company.
Our client’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking person to function as highly technical lead with some Project Manager responsibilities for the Cybersecurity group.
In this role you will be responsible for performing highly technical hands-on work on IAM projects (60-70% effort) as well as project management work (30-40% effort). This will include analysis to help define user requirements, vendor analysis, RFP review, procurement and managing implementation of the solutions. These projects will require collaboration with third-party vendor partners, contractors, and internal IT staff, where you will provide technical and project management leadership on security-centric projects.
A Degree in IT/ Comp Eng. is required.
Location is Markham and Toronto, GTA Ontario.
Hybrid role – mix of in-office and remote WFH, currently 1 day / week in-office.
This a perm/FT role.

Cybersecurity IAM Project Manager (Technical Project Manager)
Responsibilities:
From a technical perspective you will:
Use technical experience and skills for requirements gathering, solution analysis and design, planning and coordination of the implementation of the security solutions
Provide hands on technical support in the implementation of security solutions
Optimize and provide support for existing security solutions as required to ensure that the projects and other deliverables are met.
Provide technical support and IAM expertise for other IAM projects
From a project management perspective you will:
Define the overall project scope; create the business case, define and track project activities and manage project resources
Ensure that project budgets are tracked and managed from a financial planning perspective
Coordinate successful execution of project deliverables proficiently following the = SDLC phases including discovery, design, planning and architecture, delivery, and transition to operational teams.
Oversee and coordinate communications with internal teams, third party support and vendors.
Ensure successful transition of the solution to operational teams and partners through prioritization, early engagement, operational impact assessments, BAU process re-engineering, training, and acceptance.
Build and maintain positive relationships and communicate proficiently with a number of both technical and management partners; and navigate the obstacles surrounding the project and its cross-functional players proficiently.
Qualifications:
University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology
At least 5 years of Information Security experience.
At least 2 years of experience in Cybersecurity project management
Hands on experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) tools is a must.
Solid grasp of Active Directory structure including Organizational Units, Groups, Access Rights, User Accounts, Objects, rights delegation, and GPO policies.
Experience in reviewing and implementing IAM best practices, Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Governance and Compliance, and responding to audits
Familiarity with multiple platforms (Windows, *Nix), network devices (Firewalls, IDS, routers/switches) and databases from a security and onboarding perspective.
Hands on experience in the RFP process, vendor review, design, deployment, and support of IAM tools.
Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental project management and IT delivery principles while maintaining appropriate situational flexibility and pragmatism efficiently.
Experience with people and organizational change management skills, tools, and techniques.
Experience with project management and productivity tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, JIRA), best practices and processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent presentation techniques.
